Perth council passed a motion on Tuesday, granting Mayor Judy Brown temporary leave and appointing Deputy Mayor Ed McPherson as Acting Mayor.
During a recent trip to visit family, Brown sustained injuries as a result of a fall. She stated she reluctantly applied for a leave of absence during her recovery at home.
Council and staff offered their full support and wish her well in her recovery.
