A local milliner is making an international splash.
Ranelle Larocque of the Queen Bee Millinery is taking part in the exclusive Queen’s Hat Millinery Exhibition in Italy.
She made the announcement through her TikTok account.
And its part of an annual massive international fashion event.
“The Queen’s Hat” is a hat exhibition and a journey through the history of fashion and the art of head accessories. That will include offerins by Ranelle.
Larocque told myFM in an email, “The fact that Concapello and Le Salon de la Mode contacted me via Instagram in December to take part in this International The Queen’s Hat Millinery Exhibition is really humbling and a big honour! I am especially proud because I am still an up and coming milliner and located in our lovely little Perth which shows that my work is attracting more international interest.” She added, “I am really proud to be the only milliner representing both Canada and Perth. I am very fortunate to have customers both locally and from the Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal areas as well as the UK however it does feel amazing to be bringing my work to a larger international audience.”
She leaves today, but promises to come to our studio to share all the details when she returns.
