Jesus Christ Superstar is now playing at St. Paul’s United Church in their new performance space. It’s a community effort for a great cause.
Funds raised from ticket sales and donations will be going to the Canadian Cancer Society to fund cancer research.
The show’s Artistic Director Peter Dixon says his group, the Orion Theatre Company, took a break in recent years, but the show and more so the cause were great reasons to come back.
He also has a personal connection to the cause, as most of us do.
As for the show itself, he says it was the result of many hands with at least 50 people coming together to get it done, including cast and crew.
As for the venue, St. Paul’s has recently renovated so it’s sanctuary can become an amazing performance space. Amazing sets, costumes and lighting sets the stage for some talented people.
The show is now playing and runs through March 3rd. You can get tickets through Tickets Please by clicking here
Once again, all profits and donations go to fund Cancer research.
