Today is Pink Shirt Day in schools and communities across the country. It started in 2007 by helping a student at a Nova Scotia school deal with being bullied after wearing a pink shirt.
Don Lewis is the Principal of Safe Schools for the Upper Canada District School Board. He tells us about the history of the day.
Students across the board will have lots going on today to mark the occasion.
He says the message delivered by Pink Shirt Day is clear.
Donations to Pink Shirt or Anti-Bullying Day are being accepted and a link to that effort can be found by clicking here.
