A truck hit a hydro pole in Smiths Falls causing an outage impacting 221 customers on Tuesday.
The truck hit the pole near a home on Beckwith St.
Witness reports say the truck tried to pass a front loader making a left turn onto Milne St. before it slammed into the pole as it tried to avoid another vehicle.
There’s no word on the condition of the driver or if any passengers were inside.
Hydro One Crews and first responders were on the scene for hours and traffic was re-routed by police.
