A local junior hockey player is facing a “potentially life changing” injury, after a playoff game February 27th.
19-year-old defenceman Mac Spinelli was playing for the Athens Aeros in Game 3 of their first round EOJHL playoff series against the Smiths Falls Jr. Bears, when the Lombardy native was checked from behind by an opposing player, crashing violently into the boards, as reported by the Aeros social media account.
