March is Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month and a familiar name in our community is helping to spread the word.
David Bangs, of David R. Bangs Fuels tells us why the cause is close to his heart.
He was diagnosed about three years ago and has been undergoing treatment ever since.
He’s very positive and is making sure the public is educated.
A big part of that education is making sure people know the signs. He says in his case, he just thought it was age affecting him.
A trip to the hospital and some intense testing followed. That’s when he was diagnosed. Catching the disease early is key to proper treatment leading to a healthy quality of life.
