What does the band the Last Supper and Neil Armstrong have in common? They both have tracks on the moon. The Smiths Falls-based band now has it’s music preserved on the surface of the moon for one billion years.
The Last Supper, the internationally touring band was invited to submit a song for the Moon Museum, an indestructible time capsule that travelled to the moon on the Lunaprise lander last month.
Vocalist Dan Shwetz tells myFM more about the project.
He explains how the band’s content got booked on the interplanetary trip. He says it started when he was introduced to one of the project’s organizers, Trevor Kohli.
Guitarist Pete Walker tells us about the song they chose.
Bass player Mike Perkins spoke of the surreal experience of watching the rocket liftoff in Florida, knowing something they produced was onboard.
