
The early indicators are positive that the Upper Canada District School Board’s renewed focus on EQAO scores has paid off.
In a board meeting earlier this month, Executive Superintendent Eric Hardie said the results for ninth grade students have seen a substantial year-over-year improvement.
Late last year the board implemented practice questions for students that would be similar to what you’d see on the actual exam, and brought on additional staff dedicated to EQAO prep.
Over half of primary and junior UCDSB students fell below the provincial average for math in 2022-23.
