The Township of Rideau Lakes wants to see cell service improved in Elgin and the surrounding areas.
They’re requesting upgrades be made by Bell Mobility to make that happen and residents and visitors can have reliable service.
Councilor Joan Delaney says it’s impacting local business.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom says it’s unacceptable to have low quality cell service in one of their largest hamlets.
The township’s sent a letter off to Bell and looped in MPP Steve Clark and the Eastern Ontario Regional Network on their request.
