We’re just days away from the solar eclipse on Monday.
If you’d like to arm yourself with knowledge ahead of the once-in-a-lifetime event, there’s a free information session coming up at the Perth Library on Saturday at 1pm.
It’s hosted by Frank Hitchens, a local amateur astronomer. Hitchens tells myFM just how rare an occurrence this is.
Hutchins will explain exactly what happens during and eclipse and will demonstrate using a model. He’ll have more information about the celestial marvel, that he too is excited to see firsthand for the first time.
The talk at the Perth Library begins at 1 and is open to everyone. Seating is limited so get there a little on the early side. It’s free to attend.
You can listen to the complete conversation with Frank Hitchens below.
