Volunteers from the Almonte Hospital and Manor and the Carleton Place Hospital were invited to a special Volunteer Appreciation event.
Kelly Bowles, Volunteer Coordinator and organizer of the event, thanked volunteers for everything they do everyday.
“Volunteers are an essential part of both our organizations providing leadership and supporting our staff in many departments. Volunteers play a huge role in helping patients and residents and their families. Volunteers are often the first person someone sees when entering either Hospital or the Manor giving directions, answering questions and making people feel welcomed.”
Mary Wilson Tider, President & CEO of Almonte and Carleton Place Hospitals, welcomed back all the volunteers and said how grateful we are to have volunteers back after being away so long during COVID-19.
“It’s great to have everyone back. Thank you for the tremendous work you do everyday.”
Volunteers were treated to a delicious breakfast served by the Hospital staff and the Recreation team from Fairview Manor.
