Carleton Place is again offering its Bare Root Tree program to residents.
For $25.00 (taxes included) a tree of 25mm in thickness and 5′ to 8′ in height will be made available.
Remaining species include Sugar Maple, Red Oak, Bur Oak, Hackberry, Honey Locust and Cortland Apple.
Trees will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and there is a limit of two (2) trees per household.
The trees must be planted within Town limits.
There are some things you must do in advance to qualify, including obtaining locates from Ontario One Call ( www.ontarioonecall.ca).
As well, this year’s tree planting information session will be held virtually and participants must pre-register for it; the virtual information session happens Wednesday, May 8th at 7PM.
You will then be given a tree voucher upon completion.
If you have proof of having attended any earlier workshop- including the one offered yesterday, you are qualified.
Residents must pay for their trees at the Carleton Place Town Hall prior to May 17th.
