As the Town of Perth and Lanark County gear up for Emergency Preparedness Week, Perth Fire Services will be conducting their annual Smoke Alarm Blitz on Wednesday, May 1 from 5-8 p.m.
They will be checking single-family homes in Zone 1 to ensure that they have working smoke alarms under ten (10) years old installed on all levels and carbon monoxide alarms as needed.
