There’s an information session Saturday in Almonte to discuss co-housing.
Co-housing in Canada refers to intentional communities where residents have private dwellings but share common spaces and resources, fostering a sense of community and cooperation.
The group behind the local effort, Fiddlehead Commons, will provide all you need to know about their efforts into bringing the form of housing to the region.
Nancy Mucklow told our Lynda D’Aoust there’s a high demand for co-housing and you’d have no problem moving on from your unit if you had one.
Mucklow says you do not have to commit to the lifestyle if you learn later it’s not for you.
The session runs from 1-3 at the old town hall in Almonte and it’s free to attend.
