It’s Emergency Preparedness Week and Lanark County’s offering advice on how to make sure you’re ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at you.
Warden and retired firefighter Steve Fournier says it was a mixed bag when responding to calls if a family or individual had preventative measures in place.
It’s highly recommended you purchase a generator for the essentials. The former Fire Chief notes it doesn’t have to be a grand expense.
A 72 hour emergency kit’s also suggested to have on hand, in the event of extended outages or services being down.
