Ontario says fishing across the province will be free this Mother’s Day weekend.
The free fishing period is open to all Canadians in Ontario, and fishers will need to carry provincial or federal I-D.
Catch and size limits, sanctuaries and all other fishing regulations and rules still apply.
All veterans and active Canadian Armed Forces members residing in Ontario can fish for free in the province any time of year.
