The Upper Canada District school boards in favour of the new rules around cellphones and vapings in schools starting next year.
When reached by myFM for comment, a UCDSB spokesperson said they’re still working through the details of all the changes, which includes the banning of cellphones in class, requiring them to be in silent mode and out of view during school hours, and more.
The UCDSB statement said in part “We welcome the direction from the Ministry of Education and will work towards full implementation for the upcoming school year.”
We expect more from the board in the coming weeks.
