There’s a Community Dinner at St. James Church on Beckwith St. E in Perth from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. or until they run out of food to serve. Enjoy Roast Pork, Mashed Potatoes and vegetables and for dessert, Lemon Poppy Seed Cake. A goodwill offering is appreciated. All are welcome.

Zion-Memorial United Church, 37 Franklin Street, Carleton Place is hosting a Celebration of Indigenous Culture Saturday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM featuring local indigenous artisans displaying and selling various crafts. No admission charge. Donations to “Art for Aid,” a charitable project founded by local Indigenous artist, Colleen Gray, are encouraged.
The Aella Choir is coming to Pakenham for the first time to perform a special Mother’s Day choir concert tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at St Andrews United Church. The concert is called “Roots”. It celebrates both the joys and the challenges of family connections. The songs are about birth, childhood, parents, parenthood — and generally celebrating and honouring those who cared for us and nurtured us as we grew.
