The Mississippi Mills Fire Department has a new pumper truck.
They unveiled their new 2024 Metro Star Pumper from Dependable Fire Equipment to Council prior to the most recent council meeting.
Approved in the 2024 Budget, the pumper formally known as Pump 520, was officially put into service in March.
The new pumper improves department’s firefighting capabilities significantly. The rooftop nozzle for example, allows for immediate water application to fires while hose lines are being set up and a trash line has been mounted in the front bumper for rapid deployment at close range fires.
