The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged Marcel Lapensee of Carleton Place in connection to incidents dating back to late 2022 and early 2023.
The investigation began after they received a report from a person about being assaulted and sexually assaulted.
Lapensee was arrested at the Brockville Jail, where he has been held since December 2023 as he awaits trial in the Kerwin case.
The new charges that the 56 year-old Lapensee faces are:
- Sexual assault (2 counts) – Section 271
- Assault – Section 266
- Assault causing bodily harm – Section 267(c)
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – Section 264.1(1)(a)
- Voyeurism – Section 162(1)
The investigation continues.
Lapensee is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth to answer to the charges on May 31st.
