Here’s what’s going on:

The PSFDH Foundation’s Family Fun Day is on today at Settler’s Ridge Mall in Smiths Falls. It’s free as the foundation thanks it’s wonderful, generous communities for all they do for the hospital throughout the year. Check out the bouncy castles, free cotton candy and other treats, kids music and more!
The Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will be open on Saturday, May 25th to celebrate Leeds Heritage Day.  Our Archives, located in the Brockville Museum, will welcome visitors with refreshments and a chance to see our collection of family histories, land abstract books, and much more about the history of Leeds & Grenville counties.  Come to visit us! 

Explore the beauty of Perth along the Tay River and Canal!  Saturday, May 25 starting at 2PM  the Friends of the Tay Watershed invite you to join an insightful guided tour. From Last Duel Park to the Rainbow Bridge, encounter local experts eager to share their knowledge on shoreline naturalization and environmental preservation. This experience promises to be enriching and memorable. Saturday May 25 its the Tay Walk in Perth details at www.taywatershed.ca. An event for the whole family!   

The Annual Lombardy Agricultural Society Barn Dance is set for Saturday May 25th featuring Eastbound of Bytown. Get your tickets for Dinner and Dancing, featuring a hip of beef with baked beans, local baked potatoes, salad, and homemade pies. You’re invited to The Franktown Lilac Festival at the Centennial Hall in the Lilac Capital of Ontario, Franktown on Saturday, May 25th. There’s fun for all ages with a craft market, kids games and activities, garage sales, antiques, a 50/50 draw and much more. It gets underway at 8 with breakfast and runs all day.

Experience a gripping tale of resilience and courage as Studio Theatre Perth presents “The Diary of Anne Frank” dramatized by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Step into the shoes of a young Jewish girl, forced into hiding during wartime Amsterdam. Directed by Marilyn Nicholas Dahan this delightfully poignant portrayal of survival and hope is a must see at Studio Theatre Perth, May 16th to 26th. Tickets at ticketsplease.ca or at the door 

The Carleton Place Town Singers present “The Miracle of Spring” on Sunday, May 26, and Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 pm at All Nations Church, 39 Bridge St., Carleton Place. Tickets available from Tickets Please or at the door.
