Dillon Consulting has won the bid to help construct Smiths Falls’ official plan at $250,000.
The document is the long-term guideline for the direction of the town which highlights the areas council wants to focus on.
Manager of Development Services Karl Grenke ran over a few.
It’s revisited every few years to check on its progress and make changes if necessary.
It’s also a culmination of other reports, says Grenke.
The Town began looking into updating its official plan last year.
