The Beckwith Heritage Days event is set to take place today at Beckwith Park. The event will feature a variety of activities, including a petting zoo and pony rides, a children’s giant blow-up obstacle course, horse-drawn wagon rides, exciting demonstrations, antique and modern machinery displays, a craft market, children’s games, face painting, a mini-golf course, one-room schoolhouse tours, and much more. St. James Church invites all to a Community Dinner today from 4:30-5:30 PM at St. James Anglican Church (54 Beckwith St. E., Perth). Enjoy a sit-down dinner featuring burgers, hotdogs, chicken, salads, and rhubarb crater cake. Goodwill offering appreciated.

The Lanark Speaks: Queer Speaker Series continues today from 1-3 at the Perth and District Union Library. It features Mason Flatla from Ottawa Pride Hockey.

The Friends of the Smiths Falls Library will be holding their annual used book sale today from 9-12 Pm at the corner of Beckwith and Elmsley streets, where the original library stands.  All of the proceeds from the sale of the books will be donated towards the purchase of new furniture for the children’s area.  

Can’t wait for the Stewart Park Festival? Join the party early at their Kickoff to Summer fundraiser today at the Crystal Palace! It’s Perth’s biggest Motown Dance Party, featuring HEATWAVE, an eleven-piece band playing your favorite hits from The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and more.
