The Beckwith Heritage Days event is set to take place today at Beckwith Park. The event will feature a variety of activities, including a petting zoo and pony rides, a children’s giant blow-up obstacle course, horse-drawn wagon rides, exciting demonstrations, antique and modern machinery displays, a craft market, children’s games, face painting, a mini-golf course, one-room schoolhouse tours, and much more. The Friends of the Smiths Falls Library will be holding their annual used book sale today from 9-12 Pm at the corner of Beckwith and Elmsley streets, where the original library stands. All of the proceeds from the sale of the books will be donated towards the purchase of new furniture for the children’s area.
