The OPP is bringing the hit and run death case of Steven Tate near Smiths Falls back to the forefront in hopes of finding the driver of a suspect vehicle believed to have caused his death.
In a social media post Steven’s mother Donna can be heard pleading for that driver to turn themselves in.
Tate was found deceased on Highway 15 near Smiths Falls on November 8th, 2023. Det. Inspector Marty McConnell says they have a working theory.
A grainy picture has been released showing the suspect car travelling on a highway, pictured below. You can also see it in motion the video below.

The OPP are looking for a dark coloured hatchback or sedan.
Donna Tate is hoping someone comes forward to ease her suffering.
McConnell asks that anyone with information please contact them right away.
