The Perth Town Hall is getting reconfigured.
The main goal of the switch up according to the town is enhancing staff safety and improving customer service efficiency.
Councillor Isabel Anne McRae weighed in.
In addition to moving reception to right at the front entrance, the mayor’s office will become a new meeting space while the mayor will move into the CAO’s office.
The new layout will also put a reception desk right at the entrance and allow visitors to enter from only the front door.
Councillor Gary Waterfield likes the way they’re handling this.
The Sunshine Room will become the Building Department’s office space, and five of the Directors will be housed in the back area, as well as the Deputy Clerk and Planning/CAO Administrative Assistant.
At the end of the six-month period in November, staff will evaluate the effectiveness of these changes based on safety, staff feedback, and customer service metrics
