Lanark County is turning 200 years old.
In 1824, the townships of Bathurst, Beckwith, Dalhousie, Darling, Drummond, Lanark, Lavant, North Sherbrooke, South Sherbrooke, and Ramsay came together under the Statutes of Upper Canada to form Lanark County, located in the district of Bathurst.
The community is preparing for a summer of celebrations to honor this bicentennial milestone.
