Lanark County is providing $2.5 million to Carebridge Community Support for their apartment build in Perth.
63 Halton Street will be home to 15 units, seven dedicated for rent-geared-to-income and the remainder priced below market value.
Director of Social Services Emily Hollington says a process is in place to ensure everyone who fills the seven rent-geared-to-income or the eight below market value units are in actual need.
The project’s total price tag is expected to be $4.3 million, with the remaining funding already arranged through donations, partnerships and fundraisers.
