With $5,000 in grant money from the Provincial Government, the Town of Carleton Place is about to offer the “Seniors Take Charge” Seminar series, a live 10-part program that covers a range of empowerment topics referencing health, wellness, and community support.
Mayor Toby Randell is delighted, and Jessica Hansen, the Town’s Community Programmer believes the funding opportunity will foster the confidence necessary for Seniors take charge of their day-to-day decisions, feel encouraged to volunteer their time and talents, and create a greater sense of community.
Hansen commented, “At the end of each seminar, attendees will be invited to stay for coffee and refreshments to continue the conversations and connect with one another…”
Watch for more information on upcoming seminars on the Town’s website, social media channels, CP Scoop, and in the Town’s monthly Seniors Around Town newsletter.
