The remnants of Hurricane Beryl are prompting the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority to issue a Flood Watch Statement for its catchment area.
Municipalities, emergency services and individual landowners in flood prone areas should prepare for widespread rainfall amounts of 50 to 60mm starting Wednesday.
The MVCA notes that water levels and flows are already high across its jurisdiction due to the continued rain events in recent weeks.
