Orria Nielsen is an exceptional PDCI grad. She took home two high profile scholarships to help her as she begins her post-secondary career in the fall. She was awarded the Tay Valley History Scholarship after her application was chosen among dozens of local students. She was also awarded $500 from our very own MBC Community First Scholarship.
Orria says the Community First Scholarship, which asks students “What does community mean to you?”, was a perfect fit.
The Tay Valley History Scholarship also fit well with Orria’s love of the subject, which she says took time to develop.
Orria has turned the love of history into the next phase of her life as she will be attending Trent University in September to begin work on her Honours Archeology degree.
Orria will put the scholarships to good use.
