The Town of Perth is once again reminding residents that their smoke and CO detectors have an expiry date.
Fire Chief Trevor Choffe says too many people don’t realize that.
Each detector has an expiry date printed on them. You’re encouraged to take a look at yours and make sure they’re still good.
Choffe reminds renters that if their alarms are expired or not working they have a job to do.
The Chief says anyone who needs help checking their detectors can call the Perth Fire Department at 613-267-5574 and they’ll be happy to send someone over to help.
