A recent stop by the OPP in Ottawa is serving as a reminder for anyone with kids.
They stopped a vehicle for speeding on the 417. When they got a closer look, they found 7 occupants in the car, four of them kids.
An 18-month-old child was seated on the front passenger’s lap, while two young children were sharing a seatbelt in the back.
The driver received fines totaling $997, and a taxi was called to transport some of the passengers home.
The OPP remind us that the only vehicles exempt from child seat laws are taxis.
