Mandatory masking has been reinstated at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital sites.
The hospital says its due to an increase of Whooping Cough and COVID-19 infections in the immediate area.
Staff, patients, families, caregivers, and volunteers are required to wear hospital-issued masks in clinical areas, but they aren’t required in non-clinical areas such as hallways.
