A trio of past UCLG Wardens and their families made donations to support the G. Tackaberry and Family Home.
Marlene Thake, in memory of her late husband Bill Thake, Howard and Ilona French, and Herb and Joyce Scott all donated $5,000 to sponsor a room in the new home.
Bill Thake was warden three times, while Howard served twice and Herb, who’s the currently mayor of Athens, has been warden once.
