Smiths Falls Police Constables Mike Hart and Karling Fraser alongside Communicator Pam Delorme, received a Chief’s commendation for their quick action and life- saving efforts that saved the life of a young person who attempted suicide August 1st.
The individual called 911 for help and Delorme’s helped them stay calm. They were unconscious and required resuscitation efforts when police arrived while they waited for the paramedics.
The young person survived and is seeking mental health support.
