The Lanark County OPP is warning residents about a scam involving a man pretending to be a lawyer from Service Ontario.
This fraudster is targeting homes in the Sarah Street area, falsely claiming there is a lien on the property.
He demands an upfront fee to remove the lien and even provides fake government receipts.
Residents are urged to be cautious and ask the person to leave if approached.
