Lanark County’s celebrating 200 years, seven years after celebrating its 150th birthday.
While 1867 was the first year the county held meetings and elected the first warden, records show it goes further back than that, explains Clerk Jasmin Ralph.
Celebrating 200 years now is all fine and good with Councillor Richard Kidd.
The county’s been posting history highlights on social media all summer and will have an in-depth display at the harvest festival this weekend.
