Executive Director of Lanark County Interval House Erin Lee expressed some frustration this week about Bill 173 that asks the provincial government to declare intimate partner violence an epidemic remaining in limbo, and they continue to advocate for it.
The bill has made it through second reading but it requires a third and final reading before it passes.
Lee’s concerned an election will be called before that’s done and the Bill will fall by the wayside as politicans turn their attention to holding their seats.
