Are you building rental units or adding a secondary suite? The Affordable Housing Capital Grant Program offers funding to help you create affordable rental housing.
Eligible projects can receive a forgivable loan of up to $25,000 per unit, with an additional $10,000 for units built in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.
To qualify, the rental unit must be self-contained, featuring a private kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. It can be within your existing home or on the property of your single-family residence. Zoning must be approved for the secondary suite or additional residential unit, and all property insurance, taxes, and mortgages must be current.
