The Health Unit has a few options for adults in need of dental help, but don’t have traditional coverage.
Dr. Linna Li, Medical Officer of Health says some people receiving other provincial help may have access they weren’t aware of.
That said, she notes that many aren’t on any sort of assistance program.
But “when” is still a question she doesn’t have an answer to. That doesn’t mean all hope is lost for adults needing some help. Dr. Li says in some cases there may be something they can do.
