A heads up for those around Lanark Highlands:
There’ll be stronger currents and increased water levels on the Mississippi River between Crotch Lake and Sheridan’s Rapids on October 16th and 17th.
That’s because the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority is performing testing on the new log lifter at the High Falls Dam.
Residents should ensure that all boats and floating docks have been removed.
Levels and flows are expected to return to normal once testing is completed.
