The Ottawa Senators are back for another year on 88.1 myFM starting tonight.
Fans are cautiously optimistic about the season, especially after signing goalie Linus Ulmark to a 4 year extension yesterday.
Sens play by play announcer Dean Brown says the city itself probably played a role in landing the Vezina winner.
As for the offseason, Brown says they were looking to bolster their young core with experience.
As for ownership commitment, Michael Andlauer has just purchased a larger stake in the team after one of the original partners wanted to sell.
Adding to that is the owner’s commitment to building a stadium downtown, and he has bought a house in the city and made it his primary residence after years of living in Toronto.
The Senators’ season gets underway tonight as they welcome the Florida Panthers tonight at 7 right here on 88.1 myFM.
