The Town of Perth is celebrating a $140,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation that funded new equipment at the Central Perth Playground, also known as Mill Street Playground.
Mayor Judy Brown shared her gratitude during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Monday. “We are extremely grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for this grant to replace the playground equipment at Central Perth Playground. This playground, initially established in 2007, is beloved by many and enjoyed by residents and visitors alike,” Brown said.
The upgraded playground is already bringing joy to families in the area, creating a vibrant space for children to play and for the community to gather.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, one of Canada’s largest granting programs, provides support to projects that build healthy and active communities.
With the new playground equipment now in place, residents can continue to enjoy this popular park for many years to come.
