Lauren Tiganeli is the first hospital-based midwife at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
She joined the hospital earlier this summer and became a full-time midwife last month.
The hospital says the hire hopes to enhance maternal and infant health outcomes by providing personalized care options.
