The Grenville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a 14-year-old boy from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, in connection with multiple threats made against St. Michael Catholic High School.
The anonymous threats, made by phone, began on September 12, 2024, and continued until October 17, 2024. Following an investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a home and a school in Bridgewater on October 25. Police seized electronic devices and made one arrest.
The boy is charged with uttering threats, indecent communications, mischief over $5,000, public mischief, and unauthorized use of a computer to destroy data. His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused remains in custody and will appear in court by video on October 29.
The investigation is ongoing, with help from the RCMP, Bridgewater Police, and the FBI. Anyone with information is asked to contact Grenville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
