A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by Corey Wilson to support the family of Reese Stanzel, a beloved 15-year-old tragically killed on October 25, 2024.
A 16-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident.
Onthe GoFundMe page, Wilson says that Reese, known for his kindness and passion for hunting and fishing, was a familiar face in Perth. He often biked around town, greeted customers at The Butcher’s Edge, and dreamed of becoming a police officer. A former student of Glen Tay Public School and Perth and District Collegiate Institute (PDCI), Reese touched many lives.
The campaign aims to help Reese’s parents, Candi, Matt, and Andrew, along with his siblings Chelsie and Ryan, with funeral expenses and financial burdens during this unimaginable time.
Wilson emphasizes that while no donation can erase the loss, community support will allow the family to focus on healing. Contributions can be made directly through the GoFundMe page.
