YAK Youth Services has announced emotional support services following the tragic death of Reese Stanzel.
In a heartfelt message, the centre expressed condolences to Reese’s family and reassured the community that no public threat exists.
YAK will provide emotional support through its partner, Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth. It will also hold group discussions for attendees to express their feelings in a safe space. Additionally, the youth centre will launch anti-bullying initiatives aimed at fostering kindness and preventing future harm.
YAK encourages anyone struggling with the news to seek help. The centre remains open Monday to Thursday from 2-6 p.m. for those in need of support.
“We are here to listen, provide resources, and promote positive relationships within the community,” YAK said in its statement.
