Physician recruitment remains an uphill battle for the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital.
Recruiter Carlene MacDonald says they’re actively looking to fill several vacancies including two OBGYN positions.
They currently have one on staff with a second leaving.
MacDonald was asked how they could entice doctors to working in small-town medicine.
They’re currently seeking a pair of physicians each in obstetrics, family medicine, emergency medicine, and internal medicine, as well as two hospitalists and one radiologist.
