The annual RCL Automotive Build a Mountain of Food Campaign, supported by 88.1 myFM, YourTV, and Hometown News, is back to help restock local food banks and support those in need.
This year’s campaign will run across eight Saturdays, spanning multiple communities, as volunteers work to fill shelves in food banks that families depend on.
Starting Saturday, November 9, in Almonte and Carleton Place, volunteers will be at Jonsson’s YIG in Almonte and Anderson’s YIG, FreshCo, and Giant Tiger in Carleton Place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations collected here will support the Lanark County Food Bank, also known as The Hunger Stop.
The campaign will continue each Saturday, stopping at locations in Perth, Lanark, Smiths Falls, Elgin, Westport, Portland, Merrickville, Athens, and Delta. These events will support various local food banks, from the Perth Good Food Bank to the Westport Food Bank, ensuring that donations reach families across the region.
